I offer full guidance for the highly competitive Oxford and Cambridge application process, including choice of college and course, how to craft a compelling personal statement, and intensive preparation for the interviews themselves, ensuring you are thoroughly equipped to present yourself at your very best.
A Level
You chose A Level English because you love the subject. My tuition will remind you of this love, centring on text and building a thorough understanding of literary effect and writers’ craft. Where appropriate, sessions will incorporate context and criticism to ensure that you cover all Assessment Objectives as you articulate personally informed responses to texts.
GCSE
GCSE examinations are notoriously demanding, and I will support you in developing and practising highly effective responses. Thorough knowledge of texts is crucial; I will provide strategies and approaches to help build secure knowledge of your set novels, plays and poems. The questions may sometimes look bland, but I will show you how to move beyond this into crafting sensitive, coherent and elegant essays in response.
Beyond The Exam: Curriculum Consolidation
